Breakfast with the Bunny - MARCH 16

This family event will be held in Armitage Meeting Room at Armitage Golf Course on March 16 at 10 a.m. Each child will have an opportunity to get a picture with the Easter Bunny and will receive a surprise gift. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis and will begin on February 16th at 8 a.m. The Recreation Department will attempt to accommodate requests to be seated with a large party

The cost is $17 per person. A no breakfast fee of $9 is available for children 2 years of age and younger. Call 717-761-4951 to register.

EASTER EGG SCRAMBLE - MARCH 23

This event takes place on Saturday, March 23 beginning at 10 a.m. on soccer fields 5 and 6 in Hampden Park (behind tennis courts). Participants should park in the pool parking lot. The hunt is open to all Township children, 2 to 8 years of age. The event is rain or shine and will start promptly at 10 a.m.

COMMUNITY YARD SALE - APRIL 6
The annual Community Yard Sale will take place at Hampden Park/ Pool Parking Lot on Saturday, April 6 from 8 a.m. - 12 noon. The fee to reserve a spot to sell items is $20 if you reserve prior to March 15. After March 15th, the fee is $25.

FUN FOOD FEST - JUNE 29

For the eleventh straight year, Hampden will host a community-wide special event on Saturday, June 29th, at Hampden Park.

A variety of food trucks will be ready to serve food in Hampden Park at 4 p.m. Live music is scheduled throughout the event, with the Greater Harrisburg Concert Band performing a free park concert at 5 p.m. with more live music scheduled later in the evening. The event will be capped off with a professional firework display after sunset. The pool will be open until the conclusion of the fireworks. Come spend the day at the park, go for an evening swim, try some great grub and enjoy an evening of fireworks!

The event will be coordinated by the Township Recreation Department and is free to the public, although you must be a member or pay daily admission to gain access to the pool. Hampden Township is seeking corporate sponsors for the event. Different levels of sponsorship opportunities and associated benefits and recognition are available to additional sponsors.

Creekview Family Fun Night- Aug. 2

The 34th annual Creekview Family Fun Night will be held at Creekview Recreation Area North on Friday, August 2, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Activities will include carnival games, inflatables, face painting, temporary tattoos, alpacas, photo booth entertainment, food trucks and more! (Cash only for events) Hampden Township Fire, Ambulance and Police vehicles will be on display, along with representatives from our first responders.

Hampden Park Movie Night- Sep. 27

Enjoy a night under the stars! Bring a chair or a blanket and enjoy a free park movie in Hampden Park. The TBD movie will start at 7:15 p.m. Check back for more details!

TRICK OR TREAT 2024 - October 31

Hampden Township does not sponsor any Halloween or Trick or Treat related activities. The Township merely establishes a uniform date and time for residents who wish to participate. Trick or Treat is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. Residents, with children, may decide if they wish to participate in door-to-door Trick or Treat activities and individual property owners may choose whether or not they wish to distribute treats from their residence.

Parents who choose to have their child(ren) participate in Trick or Treat are urged to have them wear any costume masks so they are large enough to see through easily, have a flashlight and wear bright reflective colors. Parents should also inspect treats before allowing their children to eat them.

Each child will have an opportunity to get a picture with Santa and will receive a surprise gift. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis and will begin on November 7th at 8 a.m. The cost is $17 per person. A no breakfast fee of $9 is available for children 2 years of age and younger.
