Q-My child is 2 years of age or younger. Do I need to include them in the count for a family membership?

A-Since your child is 2 years of age or younger, they are free and shouldn't be included in the family membership count.

Q-My children stay with a baby sitter during the summer months. Can I include my baby sitter in the family membership?

A-Baby sitters cannot be included in the family membership. They must purchase an individual membership. In addition to baby sitters, cousins, nieces/nephews, grandparents, grandchildren, aunts/uncles, etc. are not eligible for inclusion in a family membership.

Daily Admission FAQ's

Q-What hours is the Hampden Pool open?

A-The Hampden Pool is open 7 days a week from 11:30am-8pm. There are select dates that the pool won't open until 1pm due to home swim meets hosted by the Hampden Aquatic Club.

Q-My child is 2 or younger. Do I have to pay for them?

A-Children 2 years of age and younger and free.

Q-I am a resident of Hampden Township but don't have a resident ID card. Can I still get the resident discount?

A-No. You must have a valid resident ID card to obtain the resident discount. You can obtain the resident ID card, free of charge, at the Recreation Office. When you visit the Recreation Office, please have your drivers license with your current address, or a utility bill with your home address. Again, if you visit the pool and don't have a resident ID card, you won't be able to obtain the resident discount.

Q-Does the Hampden Pool offer refunds/rainchecks for inclement weather?

A-The Hampden Twp. Pool does not offer refunds for inclement weather. Rain checks may be issued when the facility must be closed due to inclement weather. They will only be issued to those admitted within 30 minutes of the closure with a valid receipt. The pool will continue to not offer refunds for ejections from the complex. Please be aware of this policy before you pay to enter.

Swim Lessons FAQ's

Q-I registered my son/daughter for a week of swim lessons and forgot until mid-way through the week. Can I get a refund for the days that I missed?

A-No refunds are given if you fail to show up for a lesson. Once you register for swim lessons, it is your responsibility to show up on the correct dates/times.

Q-It looks like we might get rain this morning-at least that's what the weather forecast is predicting. What should I do?

A-If the weather looks questionable, please call the pool at 717-590-5989 before you leave for lessons to listen to a pre-recorded message that will inform you of any cancellations. You can also check our Twitter page @HampdenTwpRec. The decision has to be made an hour prior to lessons.

Classes FAQ's

Q-How do I register for one of the classes offered at the pool?

A-There are multiple ways in which you can register. You can register online for select programs using the Online Registration link at the top left of each page. You can also walk-in and register at the Recreation Office or, if you prefer, call in at 717-761-4951. For phone registration, please have a Visa or Mastercard and the course code ready.

Q-I registered for a program but now I have a scheduling conflict and can't take it. Can I get a refund?

A-If you cancel before the class begins, all fees are refunded. If you cancel after the first class, an administrative fee equal to one day's participation will be withheld. No refunds are given after the second class.

Rentals FAQ's

Q-I want to have my child's birthday party at the Hampden Pool. What times are birthday parties offered?

A-The Hampden Pool only offers its birthday party package from 11am-1pm on select days. Please call the pool at 717-590-5989 to check availability. Please be advised that days fill up fast and are first come-first served.
