Toth and McIntyre Life Saving Award

Officer Toth with AwardOn Thursday, August 30th, 2019, Officers William Toth and Michael McIntyre were presented with the Department Life Saving Award by Board of Commissioners President Al Bienstock and Chief of Police Steven Junkin.

On July 19, 2019, Officers Toth and McIntyre were dispatched to a young male in cardiac arrest. Both officers responded, assessed the scene and utilized an AED.  Following the AED use, Officer Toth initiated CPR.  The patient regained  a pulse prior to the arrival of EMS.

The patient's doctors confirmed that the officer's quick action and use of the AED and CPR saved the young man's life.
