Utility Payment Assistance Programs


Pennsylvania 211 - If you need to connect with resources in your community, but don’t know where to look, PA 211 is a great place to start. From help with a utilities bill, to housing assistance, after-school programs for kids, and more, you can dial 211, visit www.pa211.org,  or text your zip code to 898-211 to talk with a resource specialist for free. The specialists will listen to your needs, and give you information on programs in your community that might be able to help.

LIHWAP – Water Assistance Program

Are you at risk of having your water shut off?  Help is available – the Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) is available to help families who have overdue water bills or are at risk of losing water service for their home.  Applications will be accepted July 10 – August 18, 2023.  Learn more about the program and if you qualify at www.dhs.pa.gov/waterhelp.  You can apply for LIHWAP assistance online at www.compass.state.pa.us.  If you have any questions regarding the program, please contact LIHEAP/LIHWAP’s helpline at 1-877-537-9517.
