DOMESTIC ANIMAL ORDINANCES

Residents are reminded to keep their pets leashed or under their control, to clean up after them if they are off their private property and to prevent them from making noise that disturbs other residents. Township regulations require residents to control any animal which makes any noise continuously for a period of 10 minutes or makes such noise intermittently for 30 minutes or more. Residents are also asked to refrain from leaving food outside for animals, as this practice can attract unwanted vector, such as skunks, possums, etc. Township regulations require that dogs and cats must not stray off their owner’s property, run at large in the Township or defile another person’s property.  Violation of the regulation may carry a fine of up to $600 plus costs.  Dog owners are reminded to be respectful of your neighbors and refrain your dog from urinating on plants and shrubs as that may damage the property owner’s plantings.
