Yard Waste Facility

Due to public health concerns associated with the Corona Virus, the Hampden Township Yard Waste Facility is closed to the public. This includes drop off of materials and pick up of mulch and compost. Orders for delivery that include a completed order form and payment can be submitted via mail or the drop off box at the Township Administration Building.

Residents of Hampden Township may dispose of their yard waste at the Public Works Yard Waste Facility. The Yard Waste Facility remains open from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, without an appointment. The Yard Waste Facility will also be open on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month from April 4, 2020 until January 2, 2021 from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. A Resident ID card is required and residents are asked to enter the drop-off site from Technology Parkway in the Cumberland Technology Park. The facility is closed on holidays and during inclement weather.

Yard Waste Facility Gate

In response to growing security concerns residents may find the yard waste facility gate closed during hours which the facility is scheduled to be opened. If you find the gate closed, please press the intercom button located on the left hand side of the driveway. The first available staff member will answer the call, request that you show your resident ID and then remotely open the gate. We apologize for any potential inconvenience this may cause.

Township residents also have the option of having tan bark delivered, when material is available, to their residential property located within the Township. The cost for delivery is $100.00 for up to 8 cubic yards. A Release/Agreement Form must be completed and payment made at the Hampden Township Municipal Building by Visa, Mastercard or check payable to Hampden Township. The product will be delivered as soon as possible after receipt by the Township of the Release and Agreement Form and payment of the delivery cost. The Release and Agreement Form is available at the Township Municipal Building or at the Township web site under General Information, “On Line Forms”. Product will be delivered and placed only on the resident's driveway, not in a public right-of-way, i.e., street, sidewalk, etc.
