FOOD TRUCKS & FIREWORKS- SEPTEMBER 26

For the seventh straight year, Hampden will host a community-wide special event on Saturday, September 26, at
Hampden Park. Postponed from earlier in the summer, this event will be toned down from past years. The pool will not
be open, nor will there be musical entertainment. The event will still showcase a handful of food trucks serving from 4-7
p.m. Perfect for those looking for grab and go options, or for those that want to have a socially distanced picnic in the
park. Please wear masks and maintain social distancing from the parking lot to your location in the park and to the food
trucks or restrooms. The evening culminates with an extensive fireworks display by a professional contractor shortly
after 7 p.m.
The event will be coordinated by the Township Recreation Department and is free to the public. Hampden Township is
seeking corporate sponsors to offset the fireworks cost. UPMC Pinnacle is the “Elite” sponsor for the event. Different
levels of sponsorship opportunities and associated benefits and recognition are available to additional sponsors. For
more details on sponsorship levels and benefits, call the Recreation Department at (717) 761-4951.

TRICK OR TREAT 2020
Hampden Township does not sponsor any Halloween or Trick or Treat related activities. The Township merely establishes a uniformed date and time for residents who wish to participate. Trick or Treat is scheduled for Thursday, October 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. Residents, with children, may decide if they wish to participate in door-to-door Trick or Treat activities and individual property owners may choose whether or not they wish to distribute treats from their residence. Participants are reminded to use COVID related safety practices.
Parents who choose to have their child(ren) participate in Trick or Treat are urged to have them wear any costume masks so they are large enough to see through easily, have a flashlight and wear bright reflective colors. Parents should also inspect treats before allowing their children to eat them.
The Recreation Department offers a variety of special events throughout the year. Affiliating your company with events held in a local park is a great opportunity! See the links below for more information in partnering with Hampden Township Parks and Recreation in one of our sponsorship tiers!
