In order for Waste Management to maintain its focus on municipal solid waste collection and disposal, and due to the reduced number of employees in the field, effective Monday, March 30,2020, Waste Management is temporarily suspending the performance of the following services, which are non-essential during this period of emergency:

Bulk Collection – furniture, carpet, mattresses, appliances, etc.

When the Declarations of Emergency and social distancing recommendations have been eased and Waste Management’s work force returns to pre-pandemic levels, these services will be restarted. Waste Management will provide notice when the service(s) will resume.

Per the current residential trash contract, residents are entitled to one bulk item pickup per week. Items that qualify as bulk items include furniture, appliances (if refrigerator or freezer, door must be removed), items containing Freon, and tires.

Mattresses must be wrapped in plastic prior to collection for health/safety reasons.

Please contact Waste Management customer service directly at 1-800-869-5566, account 611-183948, to arrange for bulk item pickup. Waste Management uses a separate truck for bulk items. Regular trash and recyclable trucks are not able to collect bulk items.
