Residents are reminded that trees on their property which were damaged due to a storm are their responsibility to clean up. If a tree falls within the roadway, crews will, as soon as possible, clear the roadway by moving the fallen tree back on to the property from which it fell for safe travel and access by emergency responders and motorists.
Residents may work with a private contractor to remove limbs and branches or prepare the limbs for curbside collection by Republic Services in accordance with the following Township collection practices. Tree limbs may not exceed six feet in length and five inches in diameter and must be securely bundled so that one person can easily handle. If cut to the specified length and bundled, Republic Services, the Township waste contractor will collect yard waste at the curbside on a resident’s regular trash collection day. If yard waste is placed in a container (trashcan, cardboard box, etc.) the contractor will empty the container. Please do not put yard waste in the same container as trash.
