On Saturday, September 10, Eagle Scout Billy Fish of Troop 80 will host a Conodoguinet Creek cleanup of the creek along Pine Brook neighborhood in Hampden Township. The event will start at 8:30 a.m. and end at 12 noon. We will enter the creek at the cul-de-sac at the end of Lamp Post Lane. You may park in the cul-de-sac and along Lamp Post Lane and walk toward the peninsula in the creek where the cleanup will begin.
During the event,
volunteers will walk a one mile section of the creek while collecting litter in the creek. We will end at the Front Park of Pine Brook where the trash will be collected and snacks will be served.
Please bring closed shoes you don’t mind getting wet, gloves, a hat, and drinking water; it may also be nice to have sunscreen, bug spray, and sunglasses.
Please invite your friends and family to come have a
fun time while helping keep the Conodoguinet Creek clean!
In the case of extremely inclement weather or high water levels in the creek, the project will be postponed to September 24th. Please visit the www.facebook.com/BillyScoutProject/ for weather updates and notifications. A decision to postpone will not be made until the morning of September 10th. You may also visit the Facebook page to learn more about the other projects Billy is doing for his William T. Hornaday award, or to see the success of his previous projects.
Look forward to seeing you all at the creek cleanup!
