Residents are asked to place their trash and recyclables containers or toters on or behind the curb before 6:30 a.m. the day of their trash collection, but no earlier than 6 p.m. the night before, to ensure it will be picked up.

For a complete list of all items that can be recycled, please click here.  While Republic Services (York Waste) does not require newspaper, magazines, cereal boxes, computer paper, telephone books, cardboard, and other paper products be bundled or placed in paper bags, residents may do so if they choose. This does not mean that the bundle or bag has to be placed separately at the curb or in another container. All recycling items should be placed in the recycling toter with the green lid whether they are bundled or not.
