This single testing process allows individuals to apply and test one time for any or all of the participating police agencies. There is only one application fee associated with this test. Hampden Township has only committed to maintaining a current eligibility list and currently does not have any vacancies to fill.
Should Hampden Township determine the need to hire from the eligibility list, it will be done in accordance with the Hampden Township Civil Service Rules and Regulations. To be considered for eligibility for employment with Hampden Township an applicant must be at least 21 years of age, a citizen of the United States and possess a high school diploma or equivalent at the time of application. Each applicant shall be medically fit for the performance of the duties of a Police Officer and licensed to operate a motor vehicle in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Applicants must pass a physical, psychological, background check, and a polygraph exam.
