NOTICE

The Board of Commissioners of Hampden Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, 230 S. Sporting Hill Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050, will accept sealed proposals until 11:00 a.m., prevailing time, March 29, 2017 for the following:

2017 Street Resurfacing Project

The Project generally consists of 75,500 sy of 12.5-mm Wearing Course, 800 tons of Leveling/Scratch Course, 69,700 sy of Milling various depths, 17,700 sy Base Replacement 3”-5”, 34 each Sanitary Sewer Manhole Frame and Cover Replacement, 56 each ADA Curb Ramps with 5,400 sf of 4” Sidewalk, 1,430 lf of Concrete Curb Replacement, 570 cy of Rock Lining, 88 each Storm Inlet top reset/replacement, 12,900 lf of Line Stripping, 7 each Storm Inlets replacements, 362 lf of 15”, 18”and 24” Diameter Storm Pipe Replacement.

All bid proposals shall be properly executed in ink without alterations and shall be complete. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10 %) of the bid. Specifications and bid forms may be obtained at no cost from the offices of Hampden Township at the address above from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. The successful bidder will be required to post a performance bond in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the bid price.

A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on March 17, 2017, 9 AM at the Hampden Township Municipal Building, 230 South Sporting Hill Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050, Room 201.

Bid Proposals will be opened at 11:15 a.m. on March 29, 2017 at the offices of Hampden Township. Unless all bids are rejected, the lowest responsible bidder may be selected at a public meeting of the Board of Commissioners to be held March 30, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at the offices of Hampden Township noted above.

If the anticipated project cost is at least $25,000, Pennsylvania prevailing wages under the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act will be required.

The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof and to waive any defects or irregularities in the best interest of the Township.
