NOTICE
The Board of Commissioners of Hampden Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, 230 S. Sporting Hill Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050, will accept sealed proposals until 11:00 a.m., prevailing time, May 21, 2015 for the following:

Contract No. 2015-04
2015/2016 Street Resurfacing Project

The Project generally consists of 347,000 sy of Various Wearing Courses, 4,800 tons of Leveling/Scratch Course, 335,000 sy of Milling various depths, 64,000 sy Base Replacement 3”-5”, 320 each Sanitary Sewer Manhole Frame and Cover Replacement install only, 2,800 lf Curb Replacement, 180 each ADA Curb Ramps, 230,000 lf of line Stripping, 111 each Inlets replacements install only, 5,400 lf 15”-30” Diameter Storm Pipe Replacement.

All bid proposals shall be properly executed in ink without alterations and shall be complete. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10 %) of the bid. Specifications and bid forms may be obtained at no cost from the offices of Hampden Township at the address above from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. The successful bidder will be required to post a performance bond in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the bid price.
A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held May 11, 2015 at 9 a.m. at the Hampden Township Municipal Building, 230 S. Sporting Hill Road, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, 17050 in Room 201.

Bid Proposals will be opened at 11:15 a.m. on May 21, 2015 at the offices of Hampden Township. Unless all bids are rejected, the lowest responsible bidder may be selected at a public meeting of the Board of Commissioners to be held May 28, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at the offices of Hampden Township noted above.

If the anticipated project cost is at least $25,000, Pennsylvania prevailing wages under the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act will be required.*

The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof and to waive any defects or irregularities in the best interest of the Township.

All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on May 26, 2015 at 1:15 p.m., at the offices of Hampden Township noted above by the Director or Assistant Director of Public Works.:

All bid proposals shall be properly executed in ink without alterations and shall be complete. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, bank money order, or a bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid total, payable to the Owner in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Specifications and bid forms may be obtained at no cost from the Issuing Office at Hampden Township at the address above from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays, by contacting Judy Robinson at (717)761-0119. The successful bidder will be required to post a performance bond in the amount of ten percent (100%) of the bid price.

A pre-bid meeting will be held at 1:00 p.m., prevailing time, May 14, 2015 at the Owner’s office listed in this Notice. Meeting attendance is recommended but not mandatory.
