Ambulance service or Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is a vital public service. The Hampden Township EMS organization provides emergency medical coverage to the residents and visitors of the township and neighboring communities 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. In 2011, we answered over 2700 calls for help.
The staff includes a variety of specially trained EMS professionals, who engage in many hours of education in order to properly manage all types of emergency medical and trauma-related situations. The EMS Department is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and therefore has met the strict guidelines necessary for operation within the Commonwealth.
The operational expenses of the EMS Department are partially funded by Hampden Township. However, the EMS Department receives additional funding from donations, annual family/individual subscriptions and fees for services.
The Hampden Township EMS Department depends on your annual subscriptions to provide a consistently high standard of around-the-clock emergency medical services with the latest equipment. With your support, we can continue to improve service to all of the residents and visitors of the township.
