Multiple bear sightings have been reported in the area of Orr’s Bridge Road, Good Hope Road, and Creekview Road. The Game Commission has been contacted and will be putting out a trap. Residents are reminded not to feed the bear on purpose or inadvertently. Bird feeders, dog/cat food left outside, and trash put out too early can become a food source and hinder apprehension via the trap. Residents are encouraged to call the police with sightings as this will help to locate the trap in a productive position. If the bear is sighted in a tree call the police department immediately so the Game Commission can be notified in a more direct manner.* A bear was caught on June 7, 2010 on the Camp Hill/Hampden border.
