Zoning Hearing Board Meeting

has been cancelled.

 

The Hampden Township Zoning Hearing Board meets to hear requests, usually from developers or landowners, for relief from the Hampden Township Zoning Ordinance on such matters as setbacks, lot size, etc. When necessary, they also hear appeals from people who believe the Zoning Officer has misinterpreted the ordinance.

ZHB Application Procedures

Applications to the Hampden Township Zoning Hearing Board ("ZHB") should be made on the form provided for that purpose, which is available in the Township Department of Community Development.

The fee for ZHB applications, which must accompany the completed application form, is $450.00 for a request related to single-family residential uses and $525.00 for all other uses.

For variance requests or appeals from the Zoning Officer's decision, eleven (11) sets of the application package must be submitted. For special exception requests, nineteen (19) sets of the application package are required. The application package should include the application fee and the required number of submission packages, which should each include a signed, completed application form and any documentation, including plans, photos, supporting letters, etc. which the applicant wishes to make a part of the record.
