Term Expires 1/16 Al Bienstock is an insurance broker who also holds ownership interests in several homeland security related businesses. He has been a Hampden Township commissioner since 2001 and previously served for many years on Hampden's Planning Commission and Zoning Hearing Board. His involvement in the community encompasses a wide range of activities including: Governor-Elect Tom Ridge's Transition Team; Governor Ridge's IMPACCT Commission Task Force on Banking and Insurance; Tri-County and State Mental Health Associations; Governor's Advisory Committee on Mental Health and Mental Retardation; Pennsylvanians for Right to Work; AHEDD (provides training and job placement for individuals with developmental disabilities); soccer coach and co-founder of the Hampden Memorial Day Girls Soccer Tournament; board member of Bethany Development Corp. (Bethany Towers); treasurer of Citizens Against Higher Taxes
. He has chaired training seminars at the Pennsylvania Leadership Conference. Al writes commentary on current events through RightWingLimericks.com and is an avid, amateur, magician. |

John V. Thomas Term Expires 1/16 In office consecutively since 07/07 John graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School (1963) and from Villanova University (1967), with a BS in Economics (Finance Major). He is a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. He is Vice President of the Hampden Township Board of Commissioners, Chairman of the Hampden Township Sewer Authority, Treasurer of the Cumberland County Recycling and Waste Authority, member of the Cumberland County Transportation Task Force, member of the Chesapeake Bay Local Government Advisory Board, member of the PA State Association of Township Commissioners Executive Committee and a Eucharistic Minister at Good Shepherd Church. He has previously served as President of the following organizations: PA State Association of Township Commissioners, PA State Association of Councils of Government, Central Association of Township Commissioners, West Shore Wage Tax Bureau, West Shore Council of Governments, South Central League of Municipalities, the Hampden Township Board of Commissioners, the Mechanicsburg North Rotary Club and the Good Shepherd Capital Campaign. He served as VP of the PA Local Government Investment Trust. He is also a past member of Governor Thornburgh's Task Force for Housing and the United Way Allocations Committee. John was selected as Harrisburg Magazine's "Readers Choice" Stockbroker in 2004 and 2006 and "Simply the Best" Stockbroker in 2005. He served in the 28th Infantry Division of the PA National Guard. John is married to Judy Thomas. They have one daughter, Kathleen (married to Edward Savage), and three grandsons, Michael, Ethan and Kyle. John and Judy have lived in Hampden Township since 1973.

Term Expires 1/14 Local Emergency Management Committee Local Emergency Preparedness Committee In office consecutively since 01/08 Originally from West Chester, PA, Don McCallin enlisted in the US Air Force at age 18 where he served for 8 years as an enlisted man and 15 years as a commissioned officer. During his service time, Don earned a BA in Political Science from the University of MD, and MA in Russian Studies from George Washington University, and an MBA from Marymount University. His duties were in the area of intelligence operations with foreign postings to Turkey, Italy, West Berlin and Moscow. |

Term Expires 1/14 In office since 1/06 Ken Fetrow was born and raised in Hampden Township. He is a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School and the Pennsylvania State Police Academy in Hershey. Commissioner Fetrow served 43 years in Police Service, 35 years as the Police Chief for Hampden Township. |

Nate Silcox has over 15 years of experience in state government and public policy, having specialized in education and local government issues. During his time in the Senate of Pennsylvania, he has assisted the Senate Majority Whip in the performance of floor duties, served as Executive Director of the Senate Local Government Committee (focusing on intergovernmental cooperation, multi-municipal planning, and procurement reform) and worked as Legislative Director for the Senate Majority Caucus Secretary (shepherding several initiatives through the legislative process, including strengthening the National Guard Educational Assistance Program). Nate started his career in state government as a member of Governor Tom Ridge's team in the Department of Education. He helped to promote the Governor’s education agenda, which included establishing academic standards, ensuring school safety, and expanding educational opportunities.
